Main Street, Omagh

One of the largest and most complicated projects that McH Architects have ever completed, Main Street, Omagh provides Tyrone’s County town with 125000 sq ft of retail and office space.

Situated on the site of the old Royal Arms Hotel McH Architects have designed and project managed a complete new street comprising 18 retail units and 8 office suites. Built on piled foundations, the irregularly shaped site threw up all kinds of challenges including the propping and refurbishment of the listed façade of the old hotel which now provides the gateway to the new street from Omaghs High Street.

Strikingly contemporary in its view from Kelvin Avenue the scheme has changed the experience of shopping in Omagh.
